Anodised aluminium stair nose with rubber friction insert.
Anti-slip stair nosings are the safety-critical edge of every staircase. We stock anodised aluminium nosings with vulcanised rubber inserts in silver, black and bronze finishes, in standard 25mm and 40mm nose depths, all 2.5m lengths. Installed correctly they meet international slip-resistance standards while protecting the tile edge from chipping under foot traffic.
Two standard nose depths to suit modern (25mm) and traditional (40mm) tread profiles.
Vulcanised rubber strip provides slip resistance even when wet. Replaceable insert available.
Three anodised finishes from stock to match tile, paint or handrail.
Pre-drilled screw holes covered by the rubber insert — clean finished appearance.
25mm nose depth suits modern thin-step staircases (typical residential). 40mm suits commercial buildings and older traditional Syrian step depths. If unsure, measure your tread depth — the nose should not protrude more than 20% of tread depth.
Yes — the rubber friction insert can be replaced without removing the aluminium nosing. Replacement strips are stocked for all three finishes; typical replacement interval is 5-10 years for heavy residential use.
Yes — we stock surface-mount nosings (screwed onto finished step) and recessed nosings (installed under the top tile during construction). Surface-mount is the standard retrofit option.
Yes — aluminium L-profile in the same anodised colours pairs with stair nosings for landings. Ask for the matched-finish landing trim.
